I've struggled with Anorexia for the past 3 years now. It started when I was 15. I was constantly bullied for my appearance by a girl one year older than me. All of her comments made me perceive myself differently than how I actually looked. I neglected food, being around friends and my family; I became depressed.
I dropped 45 pounds, my lowest weight was about 95 pounds (I'm 5'9, so that's well below the weight range for myself). My organs eventually started failing. I was hospitalized for a month where they removed my gallbladder and fixed my pancreas, kidneys, and blood toxin levels.
While I was in the hospital recovering I found Bella Falconi's instagram page, and I wanted to be fit instead of sickly thin.
So I got my life together, did an immense amount of research on how to live/train/eat like a bodybuilder, and I've never been happier! I've gained 15 pounds of muscle since my hospitalization.
I plan on stepping on stage to compete next year, and I'm going to place first even though I'm doing this all by myself. Bodybuilding saved my life.
I want to inspire people, I want to help them if they're struggling, and one day I'm going to be a nutritionist to help girls and boys who are experiencing the same situation I went through.
I've started personally training a few people, and it's really rewarding seeing them so happy with their life style change.
